Johanna and Dean have completed day 3 of their 500

Johanna and Dean have completed day 3 of their 500km in 5 days charity bike ride for @handsacrossthewater_anz. They are raising money for the children and their home at Baan Than Namchai.

Day 3 was the longest and most challenging day of the ride so far. 129km in total with the hot Thai sun and high humidity combined with long stretches of rolling hills and bumpy roads seeing a number of riders struggle with cramp, exhaustion, dehydration, sun stroke, crashes and injuries. Thankfully, our Hands Experiences support crew have been on hand with every pedal and have made sure that everyone has been fully and properly looked after with whatever is required.

Dean and Johanna are still feeling fit and strong despite some minor niggles and highlights so far have been the ever changing scenery, experiencing the beautiful Thai culture through a new lens, the smiles on the faces and interactions with locals and kids along the way, new friendships and connections with other riders, support crew and learning about all of the children that we are sponsoring.

With now over 300km completed, the riders all have a well earned rest day before tackling the final two legs of the ride and their arrival at BTN.
